Modify a UPS Device

You can modify the properties of a UPS device. For example, you can update the name of the UPS device or change the name of the community string that is used to receive traps that monitor the device activities.

1. Navigate to System > Hardware > UPSs.
2. Select a UPS.
3. Select Actions > Modify UPS.
   Do not use the community strings "public" or "private" if the UPS device allows configuration of more secure strings.
4. Update the properties for the UPS connection.
5. Click OK.
