You can run RAID code commands that control the Drive Enclosure. For example, you might need to run the commands to help in the recovery from a drive group error or a Drive Enclosure error.
Caution
Use
Drive Enclosure console commands for recovery purposes or diagnostic purposes only, as instructed by
Oracle Customer Support. These command are used to gather information or to clear conditions that cannot otherwise be accomplished. To avoid data loss, do not execute
Drive Enclosure console commands without assistance from
Oracle Customer Support.
Important! The Drive Enclosure continuously writes output to the console. When you run a Drive Enclosure command, always capture the output before and after running the command.
- Prerequisite
Logged in to Oracle FS System Manager (GUI) using the Administrator role, the Oracle Support role, or the Support role.

The Drive Enclosure Console dialog appears and an informational warning is displayed.
- Click Next.
- Select the Drive Enclosure that you want monitor.
- Select the I/O Module that you want to monitor.
- (Optional) To ensure that no other Drive Enclosure console session is running on the Oracle FS System, select the Disconnect other users from the Drive Enclosure console option.
- Click Next.
Oracle FS System writes output from the Drive Enclosure to the console.
- If instructed by Oracle Customer Support, enter a Drive Enclosure command, and then click Send.
The Oracle FS System runs the command and displays the results in the console.
- (Optional) Capture all of the output from the console.
Valid choices:
- Copy to Clipboard
- Save Log to File
- To terminate the Drive Enclosure console session, click Finish.
