Remote Transfer Agent

The Remote Transfer Agent (RTA), which is sometimes referred to as the .Connect Agent, is the hardware used to transfer information from the POS level to the Reporting and Analytics web application data warehouse and vice versa. The RTA works in typical client-server fashion, providing information through the portal when requested.

You must download and install the RTA. If Labor Management is being added to an existing Reporting and Analytics, Gift and Loyalty, or Inventory Management customer, chances are that the RTA is communicating appropriately and there is no need to re-download the RTA. However, Oracle Hospitality upgrade information and jobs are sent through the RTA periodically and sometimes a new RTA is required for a system to continue running optimally. Oracle Hospitality informs users if and when new RTAs are required.
