To install the Oracle BI EE extension:
Install Smart View as instructed by your Smart View administrator.
Note:
In some cases, your administrator may install Smart View automatically for you.
After Smart View is installed, and before you start any Office product, ensure that you are logged in to your computer with your own user name.
Note:
You must be logged in with your own user name, not an administrator's or anyone else's user name, in order to be able to install and use the Oracle BI EE extension correctly.
Start an Office product; for example, start Excel.
Smart View installs the Oracle BI EE extension upon the first startup of an Office product and registers the extension to the user that is currently logged in to Windows.
To verify that the Oracle BI EE extension is installed, select the Smart View ribbon, then Options, and then Extensions, and confirm that the Oracle BI EE extension is listed.
If the extension is not listed, contact your Smart View administrator.
