Configuring the Import/Export Service

Before configuring the Import/Export Service, you must have the appropriate Enterprise Management Console (EMC) Enterprise privileges assigned to you.

1. In the EMC, select the Enterprise level, click Setup and Enterprise Parameters.
2. Click the Import/Export tab.
3. Enter the appropriate values in the fields. The following table describes the settings that you can configure for the Import/Export service.

   Table 24-1 Import/Export Service Settings

   Field or Option Name	Description
   Root Path for Export/Import File Operations	Enter the location to store the encrypted import and export request files. If you change the default location, restart the MICROS Data Request Processing Service for the changes to take effect.
   Max No. of Records to Commit Per Batch	Enter the maximum number of records to commit per batch when importing. You can enter any value from 1000 through 20000. If you change the default value, restart the MICROS Data Request Processing Service for the changes to take effect.
   Default Date Time Format	Select the date and time format to use when processing import and export requests.

4. Click Save.
