You can add menu item definitions to existing menu item master records from both table and form view. This procedure explains how to add new definition records from table view.
In the EMC, select the Enterprise, property, revenue center, or zone, click Configuration and Menu Item Maintenance.
Click Insert.
In the Select a task to perform drop-down list, select Add Definition to Masters.
If you want to add definitions to a single menu item master record, select a menu item mater record from the master record list.
If you want to add definitions to multiple menu item master records:
If the menu item master records to receive the definitions are not in sequential order, in the Range Type drop-down list, select Record Number or Range and enter individual record numbers or ranges (for example, 3, 5, 6-12).
If the menu item master records to receive the definitions are in sequential order, in the Range Type drop-down list, select Select Range and select the begin and end items.
If you want to use an existing definition record as a template for creating the new definitions, select Use Template, and select the menu item definition record to use as a template.
If you are not using an existing definition record as a template for creating the new definitions, select the Menu Item Class for the new definitions.
Select the Definitions to Add.
If you are using a template menu item definition and you want the new definitions to inherit price records from the template, in the Insert Price Records drop-down list, select Inherit Price from Template.
If you want to insert new price records for the new menu item definitions, in the Insert Price Records drop-down list, select Specify Prices, select the number of prices to create for the definitions, and enter the Price for the definitions.
Typically, you use this option when the new definitions have only one price record each.
