Backup State

When doing an MICROS Retail OSCAR POS installation in connection with a backup server operation, you can view the current state of the master / backup connection by clicking on this button.

In case of a long-time master server failure you can also run the backup server as a master server by clicking the button "run as master".

The following states can occur during master / backup server operation.

1. Connected to master
   Normal master/ backup server operation (backup server is online)
2. Not connected to master
   No connection with backup server (backup server is offline)
3. Connected to backup
   No connection with server (master server is offline)
4. Connected to backup (DB writable)
   Backup server is run as master.
