Switch backup to master
The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS backup server can be switched into operating mode "Run as master" by an authorised person if the master fails for a longer period of time.
After switchover of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS backup server to operating mode MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Server the database of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS backup server is given the status of the main database of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS server, i.e. all transactions including basic data update are possible on the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS backup server.
