The following description deals with:
When you print out reports, a selection window is
displayed in which you can restrict the printout to particular data records by
making selections.
You can avoid this procedure by making selections
beforehand. This takes place by defining the parameters (= selection criteria).
and is deployed with the key codes AUTOREP and CHAINREP. The update program for
terminal reports can be entered via Parameters -> Misc. Params.
For every report you start, you can enter particular
selection criteria. By default, these values are preset and can be changed to a
particular value.
Example: Booking Statistics
1. Selection window at the start of the report from
the menu bar at the office terminal
2. Selection option in the sub-window Parameters.
Here you define the selection criteria by predefining the parameters.
A click on the arrow button in the left bottom area of
the window opens a selection window in which all selection options that apply
to the report selected in the main window are displayed. Select the desired
criterion. It will be displayed in Event
Number and Field Name.
In Field Value, you enter the desired value. The
meaning of the fields is described below. When you press "RETURN",
you move the cursor to the next input line where you can make another
selection. All entries in the sub-window are saved in the main window.
Every selection is stored with a unique number. The
number is given automatically by – as
already described – clicking on the arrow button and making a selection.
The field name, too, is taken over through the
described selection. The selection options displayed after the selection window
has been opened depend on the report to be edited. In the report Top Item /
Branch, there are the following field names:
The most frequent selection criteria are:
For this selection criterion, you can define the
interval for which the report is to be valid by entering a value in the field Field Value. The following values are

2 = Week current week values
3 = Day current day values
4 = Shift 1 shift 1 for current day
5 = Shift 2 shift 2 for current day
6 = Shift 3 shift 3 for current day
For this selection criterion, you can define that the
values 1, 2 or 3 are to be valid for this report in the defined interval by
entering 1, 2, or 3 in the field Field
Value.
Example:
In the report, the Interval 1 = current month has been
defined. By use of the additional parameters:

Permitted input range:

Depending on the selected field name, you can enter a
value in this field to define the range for the selection criterion. By
default, the value 0 is preset. For selections with which only Yes or No are
permissive, 0 = NO / 1 = YES applies.
