Data Structure (UNIX)
The
data structures of the “classes” (files) Article and StockLocation are to be
viewed.
1. Output on Screen
- Stop the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
- Enter the following command:
oscar schema3.fgl Article StockLocatio
The data structure of the classes will be displayed on the
screen.
2. Output in File
- Stop the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
- Change to the directory in which the new file is
to be created. The file name can be chosen at will.
- Enter the following command:
oscar schema3.fgl Article StockLocatio
> FileNew
The data structure of the classes will appear in file
<FileNew>.
3. Output via Printer
- Stop the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
- Enter the following command:
oscar schema3.fgl Article StockLocatio
> /dev/lp0
The data structure will be printed by a printer set up in UNIX.
4. Output of an ASCII File
- Stop the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
- Enter the following command:
oscar unload.fgl Article StockLocatio
The ASCII file will appear in /usr/oscar/oscar.d/work.

- Fields are separated by ","
- "\n" (new line) is the separator
