Remote Maintenance of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS system

It is generally possible to access another computer via DTM. There are some Requirements, though, that have to be met on both the side of the hotline computer and the customer’s computer. These preconditions will be pointed out in the first step. In the second step, you will be informed about how to establish a Connection. Some Examples will illustrate the process.

Establishing / finishing the connection

In order to be able to  establish a connection to and work with a remote installation, you have to proceed as follows:

  1. Establish connection client -> database of a remote installation

oscar client -S HOSTNAME -i INSTALLNO

  1. Finish the connection
