Programming of function lock positions
In operation type setting
"Special State" the positions of the function lock can be programmed
in three levels as with keys. The option Repetition definition does not apply
here. The same entry rules as for the key programming also apply (information
on the entry rules can be found in the help window of dialog
"Characteristics" for key programming).
- POS0 = Off position of lock (top)
- POS1 = 1st position after Off, turn to right
- POS2 = 2nd position after Off, turn to right
- POS3 = 3rd position after Off, turn to right
- POS4 = 4th position after Off, turn to right
- POS5 = 5th position after Off, turn to right
- POS6 = 1st
position after Off, turn to left
- POS-RES = reserve position
- POS-ERR = function lock error
Click on the selection box "Special Status" in dialog
window "Operation type" to unlock button "Function lock".
Click on button "Function
lock" to open dialog window "Assistant".
- Select the lock position to be programmed by
clicking on the appropriate tab margin.
- Select the level in which the lock position is to
be programmed by clicking on the appropriate selection range. This opens
the entry line of this level. Keys Up and Down can be used to select the
level. The standard default is always "Standard level".
- The entry cursor is set automatically to the
entry line of the selected level.
- Enter the characters which are to be linked to
the lock position. These characters are accepted 1:1 in the position.
- Enter function keys and key combinations if
applicable (see " Entry examples" in the help text of dialog
window "Characteristics"). Use the appropriate buttons from
window "Linkage" to enter the brackets. Leading blanks necessary
are inserted from button "]").
- Enter the function key descriptors in the square
brackets with the help of the selection list from window "Code
word" by double clicking on the required descriptor. (Read the
documentation on TopKey for more information on the function descriptors).
- Enter the key combination and cascaded frame keys
by using button "+". Use the selection list in window sector
"Code word" to enter the linked function key descriptors.
- Enter the individual characters after the linkage
"+" via the keyboard by setting the mouse cursor behind the
"+" in the entry line (see "Entry examples" in the
help text of dialog "Characteristics").
- Enter the special character * [ twice if it is to
be evaluated as a normal text character (see " – Entry examples"
in the help text of dialog "Characteristics").
- Please note the colour information of the syntax
supervision during entry.
- Proceed in the same way if this position is to be
assigned to another level.
- Then click on button "OK" to confirm
programming of the lock positions.
- Click on "Abort" if no lock position is
to be programmed.
- Return to dialog window "Operation
types" in both cases.
- Carry out other settings and click on button
"OK" to confirm all settings.
- Click on "Abort" to reject all settings
(including the settings in sub-dialog "Assistant" confirmed with
"OK").
Please remember that the
keyboard layout should be saved during the entry procedure to allow the user to
access the stored version if changes are made by mistake.
