Notes on the Parameter "PCDivisor"
The
parameter P[rofit]C[enter]Divisor
can be used
- if drinks are to be booked (tapped) for two or
more profit centers at one drink dispenser (DD) and
- if no profit center number is transferred by the
DD
- if the first digit of the transferred table
number is the profit center number.
The
default value of the parameter PCDivisor
is 0.
If
the PCDivisor = 0, all incoming DD
bookings will be booked on the tables of the profit center to which the DD is
connected.
If
the PCDivisor is greater than 0, the profit center
number of the incoming table booking will be calculated.
· PCDivisor: 100
· Table no. transferred by the
DD: 234
Calculation
for the identification of the profit center on the table of which the drink is
to be booked:
234 / 100 = 2,34. The digit before the comma is the profit center number.
Example:
- At a DD, the drinks for the table 127 of the
profit center 1 and the table 307 of the profit center 3 are to be booked.
Table number input at the drinks dispenser: 127 and 307.
If
a DD booking cannot be ascertained (client is offline, the calculated profit
center is not valid etc.), the booking transaction will be booked on the profit
center to which the DD is connected.
Configuration:
- Process Unit
Configure an MICROS Retail OSCAR POS
client in the window System
-> Process Unit for the
monitoring of the DD (DD Master Process): [Database Y, Graphic N (for test
purposes only Y)].
Parameter settings see above.
- Device
Assign the DD to the DD Master Process
(e.g. WMF Hogatron) in the window Device.
The drink dispenser must be assigned to one
process unit (client) only. Parameter settings see above.
- Process Unit
Configure several MICROS Retail OSCAR POS clients (
one for each profit center) in the window Process Unit. The clients adopt the table bookings from
the DD master process and book them (DD Slave-Processes): [Database Y, Graphic N (for test
purposes only Y)].
Parameter settings see above.
Do not assign a device to
these clients. They have to be operated on the same system unit to which
the DD is connected.
- Terminals
Configure POS terminals with profit
center assignment in the window Terminals.
Assign terminal records to all DD processes (master and slave processes).
By this, the profit center assignment is being established. Assign the
profit center in which the drink dispenser is located to the DD master
process. For all terminal records, the option Drink Dispenser Terminal is to be activated. Per profit
center, there must be only one terminal for which this option is
activated.
- Drink Dispenser Param.
Define drink dispenser parameters for
every terminal of which the option Drink
Dispenser Terminal is activated in the sub-window Terminals -> Drink Dispenser Param.
Notes:
If the SALESDEBUG is activated, you can see
the following:
- The booking coming from the DD is for the profit
center to which the DD is connected (here: Profit center 1)
