Remarks on program function

The data for internal character sets (code pages) can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can also be displayed for information.

The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program supports the following internal character sets by linking appropriate values to the environment variables InternalCodePage=" in file "oscar.ini" (for Windows or "oscar.def" for Linux, e.g. InternalCodePage=3 to activate the character set Windows 1250 East European Latin font.

If internal character sets are also to be used these should be programmed in this program under header no. 0 to 9 and stored in the database. The character sets 0 to 9 should be entered in file "oscar.ini" with the environment variables "InternalCodePage=". The value 10 e.g. refers to the character set table stored in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS database with header no. 0.
