Code
table
The
program description deals with the following:
Update basic data, i.e. programming, changing
or clearing, is possible with this program. Data which has already been stored
can also be displayed for information.
The
system includes key functions which are only used occasionally. Normally, it is
not advisable in such cases to program keys for direct call up from the
keyboard. The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application allows you therefore to program a code key
table in which the appropriate function is stored under a number. The function
is released after entry of a code no. on the operating module and confirmation
with the code key (key code: CODEFUNC).
This means that "more" keys (and thus more functions) are available
than are physically on the keyboard.
The
procedure is as follows:
- Programming of code tables (call up with Application ->Organisation or with POS -> POS type) with an easily identifiable no. and name.
- Linking functions to be carried out at the
checkout for each individual table. The functions are programmed in the
sub-window Code list by entering a
consecutive no. and then the appropriate function and - if applicable -
any data to be transferred.
- The code table is then linked to the POS type in
window POS type by entering the code table no.
in field Code table. The
table no. is the link to the POS type.
Note:
Only one code table can be linked to each type of POS.
- If this function is to be completed later at the
checkout, enter the no. required and confirm with the appropriate code key
which must have been programmed (see Code
key). (Entry: CODEFUNC
under Event).
A list of key codes can be found under
- key codes (sorted by key codes)
- key codes (Engl.) (sorted by English
names).
A description of the recording path can be found under POS function via code keys.
The
following description deals with all available options for update of this basic
data.
As with
nearly all other programs the following also applies here:
- The entry mask
for this program may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program. Some data fields may be missing.
- There may be defaults or firmly defined selection
options for some data fields. These cannot be updated in the current
program.
- Fields with enforced entry defined are to be
found in the entry masks as are fields where entry is optional.
- If the data record is updated over several pages
of entry masks, the dialog window is
reached by clicking on the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
- The same procedure also applies to call up of
another update program from this program.
- In some cases you may find so-called
"Switches" which are activated or deactivated by the user with
<Mouse key 1>, depending on the setting. Activated switches have a
dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 9999
Enter a
free no. in this field.
Changes
or clear operations are carried out after call up of the appropriate table from
entry of the table no.. If the number is not known, the data record can be
selected with the search function.
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max.
20 pos.
Enter the
table name. Any text can be entered, but it should be easy to identify.
