The program description deals with the following:
The data for the printer parameters of type Epson can be updated, i.e. programmed, changed or cleared, with this program. Data which has already been stored can be displayed for information. New printers can be stored under a free record no. in addition to the POS printers already integrated into the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program.
Note:
With the ESC/Pos printer description it is
possible to use all features implemented in the Epson drivers. To be able to
set this data it is necessary to have exact knowledge of the printer manual
(including control character sequences).
The following description deals with all available options for update of this basic data.
As with nearly all other programs the following also applies here:
Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999
Enter a free record no. for new programming.
Changes or clear operations are possible after calling up the data record from an entry in the key fields. If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with the search function.
At present the following record nos. are stored for the POS printer in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program.
Entry range permitted: alphanumeric max. 20 pos.
Enter the name of the device in this field. Please ensure that the assigned name is easy to identify.

This field defines the baud rate for the printer type. A maximum of 7 baud rates (0 to 7) can be set here for selection in the printer update program.
