Price Changes [PDT]

The following program description deals with:


Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program, you can maintain basic data. You can also view the already stored data for information purposes.

A general introductory help on this topic can be found in the chapter MICROS Retail OSCAR POS and the PDT. A detailed help on this topic can be found in the user manual (ANKER part no.: 95.201.097-0000) supplied with the PDT.


Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating these basic data

Just like in almost any other program:


Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company in the area of which the price changes are carried out with the PDT.


Branch

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

Enter the number of the branch in which the price changes are to be carried out.


Seq.No.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 34463

The seq.no. is a consecutive number to distinguish the created files. Every price change receives its own unique seq.no.

Price changes can be carried out by use of multiple PDTs with one seq. no.


PDT No.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

The PDT number is the number of the (physical) PDT. Please note that price changes can be carried out using multiple PDTs. In the same way, multiple price changes can be carried out using one PDT.


Operator

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 99999999

Number of the operator who runs this program.


Profit Center

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the profit center in which the price changes are to be recorded.


Stock No.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

You can restrict the range of items of which the prices are to be changed to particular stocks. In this case, enter the lowest number of the stock to be considered.


Date

By default, the current system date is displayed here. However, you can overwrite the date, e.g. if the recording of the price changes is to be carried out at a later point in time, but the date is already known.


Text

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 40 chars.

The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application suggests a default text describing the price changes. This text can be changed.


File created for PDT [Status]

Activated: The file has been created by the PDT.
Deactivated: The file has not been created by the PDT.

This option is activated as soon as the data has been created for the PDT using button "Create File". Afterwards, the file can be called by the operator via the PDT to carry out the price change for the transferred item records.

By use of the search status, you can view all data records of a particular Search Status.


File loaded from PDT [Status]

Activated: The displayed data has been read in by the PDT.
Deactivated: The data has not been read in, yet.

As soon as you have taken over the read in data from the PDT in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application, these data records receive the state "File loaded from PDT". By use of the search state, you can view all data records of a particular Search Status.


Data taken over [Status]

Activated: The file has been taken over by the application Price Change.
Deactivated: The file has not been taken over by the application Price Change.

This option is activated as soon as the data has been taken over by the application Price Change by use of a click on the appropriate button (cp. Button Take over Data). By use of the search state, you can view all data records of a particular Search Status.


Search State

Via the Search Statuses grouped in this window, you can view the data records according to their search statuses.

In this window, you can view all price changes or only those which have one of the Search Statuses provided.


From Shelf

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 8 chars.

You can restrict the items to be changed to particular shelves by entering the smallest number here and the highest number in the next field.


To Shelf

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 8 chars.

Cp. "From Shelf".


From Main Department

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

You can restrict the items to be changed to particular main departments by entering the smallest number here and the highest number in the next field.


To Main Department

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

From Department

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

You can restrict the items to be changed to particular departments by entering the smallest number here and the highest number in the next field.


To Department

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 999999

cp. "From Department".


From Item

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 14 positions, no decimal digits

You can restrict the range of the items of which the price is to be changed by entering the appropriate item numbers in the fields "From Item" and "To item".


To Item

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 14 positions, no decimal digits

cp. "From Item".


Create File [Button]

Via this button, you create the file that is to be sent to the PDT. Further help on this topic can be found in the documentation Button: Create File.


Read in Price Change [Button]

Items of which the prices have been changed and which are to be taken over by the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application. Further help can be found in the documentation Button: Read in Order. The read-in data is taken over by the application Price Change.


Take over Data [Button]

Via this button, which can only be clicked on if the data has been read in, the loaded item data is taken over by the Price Change. After the taking-over, the option Data taken over is activated. Further help can be found in the documentation Take over Data.


Price Change [Button]

This button takes you to the window Price Change.
