Tables

The following program description deals with:

Remarks on the Program Function

By use of this program you can update the data for the tables, i.e., insert new records, edit and delete the existing ones. You can also display the data on the screen for enquiry only.

This program enables you to define tables for the stations of a profit center, the number of chairs assigned to them and their graphical arrangement on the sales screen (see graphic dynamic table).

Basically, the following applies:

Remarks on the Input Fields

This paragraph will provide a short overview over the options available for updating this Basic Data.

Just like in almost any other program:

Company

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the company under which the tables are to be defined (either via the profit center or via the station).

Branch

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the branch under which the tables are to be defined.

Profit Center

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the profit center under which the tables are to be defined.

Note:

Table

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter the number of the table which is to be assigned to a station or to a profit center. The choice of number is arbitrary within the valid range.

If entries are made in X-Offset and Y-Offset for display on the input screen of the Sales program, the table number entered here will also be shown on that screen.

Attention!

Designation

Permitted input range: alphanumeric, max. 20 characters

This is the name of the table.

Station No.

Permitted input range: numeric, 1 - 9999

Enter a number with a maximum of 4 digits for the station to which the table is assigned. The station has to exist in the system before a table can be assigned to it.

Make sure the assignment of the table is unique within a profit center. A table number can be assigned only once for each profit center. It is not important if the tables are linked to various stations.

The assignment of the tables to a station is necessary if the tables are to be shown graphically on the screen.

Count chairs

Permitted input range: numeric

Enter here the number of seats/chairs belonging to the table. This value is used for statistics evaluations.

Length

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 5 digits including max.2 decimal places

Width

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 5 digits including max.2 decimal places

X Offset

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 5 digits including max.2 decimal places

This value determines the position of the table in the horizontal axis of the sales screen.

Entry: 1 = Row 1
Entry: 2 = Row 2
...

A graphic and the appropriate X/Y offset entries can be found under
Graphic layout of tables
.

Y Offset

Permitted input range: decimal, max. 5 digits including max.2 decimal places

This value determines the position of the table in the vertical axis of the sales screen.

Entry: 1 = Column 1
Entry: 2 = Column 2
...

A graphic and the appropriate X/Y offset entries can be found under
Graphic layout of tables
.
