Form Fields – Field Type: Toggle (Option)

Remarks on program function

The data for form fields of type "Toggle" can be updated, i.e. created, changed or deleted, with this program. Data which has already been stored can be viewed.

Form /Mask fields are to be maintained in a bipartite screen mask: In the left half of the screen, the parameters accessed by all field types are displayed. The maintenance takes place via the program Form Fields. In the right half of the screen, the fields that depend on the previously made selection of the field type are displayed. These fields have to be maintained via various update programs, in this case the program Form Fields – Field Type: Toggle.

Changes become effective immediately provided that the window was not active during the processing. If it was open, it must firstly be closed and then re-opened.

Note!

• This program should only be executed in exceptional cases.
• If you make changes, you should make text changes (Text label, Name, Descriptor) only.
• All changes are immediately connected to the options Dis/Enable in the program Form Fields and always/never/keep inactive in the program Form.
• In the graphic figure Forms/Screen Masks you can find a graphic overview of the field types.

Remarks on data fields

The following details all options available for update of the basic data.

The following applies to this program:

• The entry mask may differ in your MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program depending on the set-up of the user program. Some data fields may be missing.
• Some data fields may have defaults or defined selection options so that they cannot be updated in this program.
• The entry mask may contain fields with enforced entries, and in other fields entries may be optional.
• If the data record is updated over several pages of entry masks the dialog window is reached by clicking on the appropriate button with <Mouse key 1>.
• The procedure is the same if you want to call up another update program from this program.
• In some cases you may find the so-called. "Switches" which are either activated or deactivated - depending on the setting - by clicking with <Mouse key 1>. Activated switches have a dark top, deactivated switches are lighter.

Descriptor

Entry range permitted: max. 32 alphanumeric pos.

The entry in this field represents the descriptor on the toggle button (= can be activated or deactivated), e.g.  Locked, Open Item, Deposit Item in program Item.

Entry range permitted: numeric 1 - 99999
