Layout of the ASCII Data Record for Storage in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS

This chapter describes the layout of the ASCII data record for storage in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS.

1. If this has not already been done, please execute the command oscar InitAscStd.fgl in the directory /usr/oscar/osca.d/fgl on the operating system level. The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application must be stopped beforehand.
2. Start the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application.
3. Change to the window ASCII Group via System -> Configuration.
4. View all data records.
5. Select MICROS Retail OSCAR POS STANDARD.
6. Change to the window ASCII Record via the button of the same name.
7. Select the desired record class(es).
8. Select the function move in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS from the menu Report.
9. (You can print the data record layout (field name, field length, primary key y/n) via Report -> Ascii Record List.)
