Example of the Parameter Settings for an EAN Customer Number

The EAN customer no. below has been configured via the program EAN Parameter as follows:

• Identification: 2112
• Descriptor: Customer card (text optional)
• Input length: 13
• Simulated key: CUSTOMERn
• Book to PLU/Dept.: no entry
• Offset Field 1: 4 (count begins at 0)
• Length Field 1: 8
• Append zero to field 1: 0
• Offset Field 2: 4 (count begins at 0)
  Field 1 and Field 2 are identical in a EAN customer number. This goes for the field length, too.
• Length Field 2: 8
• Type Field 2: Other
  Customer numbers do not have decimal digits, therefore this type is to be selected.
• Append zero to field: 0
