Adjusting the Dispatcher – 1^st Example

1^st example: The program Receipt Transaction Head will be replaced by the program Customer.
2^nd example: The “MICROS” symbol will be replaced by "your" company logo – a little dog.
3^rd example: Creation of a button for calling-up the window Payment Type.

Program: Forms

• Go to System -> User Interface -> Forms.
• In order to accelerate the subsequent search, enter “2” in the field Language. By this, you select the English language.
• Enter MICROS Retail OSCAR POS in the field Window Title. Make sure the spelling is correct (case-sensitive!). You can use wildcards (e.g. OSC*). Click on the Search button (magnifying glass). The complete data record will be displayed then.
• In order to make sure you called up the correct screen page, activate the option “View Screen”. The selected screen – the menu dispatcher - will be displayed.
  Minimize the item mask to be able to see the window “Forms” again and deactivate the option “View Screen” to close the second dispatcher window.

Program: Form Fields

• Open the window Form Fields by a click on the appropriate button.
• Select the field Kasten RecHead from the selection window. Kasten means that the title of the Frame (of the graphic) is updated via this field.
• Enter Customer in the fields “Field Name”; and “Descriptor”.
• Select the field Knopf RecHead in the selection window. Knopf means that the graphic is updated via this field.
• Make the following entries:
• Field name: Customer
• Descriptor: <Graphic name>.<xpm>
  Note:
  The graphic must have been created and saved beforehand in a format the operating system is able to read e.g. Linux reads the xpm format.
  If there is no graphic, you can also enter a description referring to the button, e.g. Customer. This description will then be displayed within the frame in the dispatcher.
• Parameter Customer
  Via this field, the program to be called up is embedded.
• Save your changes.
• Close the window Form Fields.

Program: Forms

• Activate the option “View Screen” again to check the result of your changes.
• Minimize the new window and deactivate the option “View Screen” in the window Forms again to close the second dispatcher.
• Close the window Forms. The change is now complete

Program: Close and restart MICROS Retail OSCAR POS

• The changes will only be valid after you close and restart MICROS Retail OSCAR POS.
