IDS Terminal
IDS is a
terminal, type MC3000 for mobile use. The following functions can be carried
out with this device.

The
following preconditions must apply if the IDS terminal is to be used for import
and export of data in MICROS Retail OSCAR POS 4.3:
Export and import directories:
The import/export
directories for the IDS terminal data must be entered in program Branch -> Move path:
- IMPORTFROMIDS = import directory
- EXPORTTOIDS = export directory
- OLDIMPORTFROMIDS = import
backup directory
- OLDEXPORTTOIDS import backup
directory
The
following options can be set in Branch -> Details 3 to define the defaults
for import and export of data for the IDS terminal.
- Counter 0 (IDS)
This option defines the default for data import of inventory lists, i.e.
whether the quantity of uncounted items is to be set to 0. This default
can be changed in the appropriate import programs.
- Price changes permitted (IDS)
This option defines whether price changes are permitted during recording
of delivery notes on the IDS terminal. This default can be changed in the
appropriate export programs.
- Inventory changes permitted
(IDS)
This option defines whether new items can be added during inventory
counting with the IDS terminal.
- Send plan stock to IDS
This option defines whether the plan stock of an item is to be sent during
data export of inventory lists to the IDS terminal. This default can be
changed in the appropriate export programs.
