The keyboard layout designed
by the user can be printed out in a variety of ways or can be displayed on the
screen. In addition to the keyboard, the system can also print or display
defined keys either unsorted or sorted by colour or size and with or without a
perforated edge. The printout can be used for documentation purposes or to put
behind the transparent key caps. Print can be called up directly from the print
preview function.
Window "Print
dialog" is used for the presetting:
Open window "Print
dialog" with a click on "Print" or "Print preview" in
menu "File".
Click on the selection range
"All keys" to select print or print preview of the whole keyboard.
Keys which have no firm
definition can be printed or displayed by clicking on control box "Print
free keys".
Keys with no firm definition
can be excluded from the print operation if the control box is left empty.
Click on the
control box "Rectangle around key" if the key descriptor is to be
shown with an edge or leave the box empty.
Click on control box "Key
with edge" if the edge of the whole key is to be displayed, or leave the
box free.
Keys without background colour
can be shown after removing the marking in control box "With background
color" with a mouse click.
Click on button "OK"
to release print or to reach the print preview.
The dialog window of the
printer is then opened. The printer can be configured as usual. Further help
can be obtained from a click on "?" and then on the object for which
help is required.
Click on "Abort" to
return to the main window.
Open the print dialog window
by clicking on "Print" or "Print preview" in menu
"File".
Click on selection range
"Print copy"
to select either print or print preview of the defined keys.
Unsorted keys can be printed
or displayed by clicking on the selection range "Unsorted".
The entry field for the
distance to the perforated edge is opened with control box "With
perforated edge". Enter the distance required in whole millimetres or
leave the control box empty.
Click on "Rectangle
around key" if the space provided for the key descriptor is to be outlined
or leave the box empty.
If the line around the whole
key is to be displayed, click on control box "...Key with edge" or
leave it empty.
Click on the box
"With background color" to remove the marking in the control box so
that the keys are shown without a background colour.
Click on "OK" to
activate print or to give a print preview of the keys.
The dialog window of the
printer is then opened and this can be configured as required. Further help can
be provided after clicking on "?" and then on the object required.
Click on "Abort" to
return to the main window.

sorting by colours:
Click on selection
range "Sorted by colors" to sort the defined keys by colour in
sequence on a separate sheet.

If the print dialog window has
been opened via "Print preview" from menu "File" a click on
"OK" activates the print preview function.
The user can switch from one
page to another with "Next" and "Previous".
Two pages can be displayed
simultaneously with "Two pages". After viewing the two pages, the
button changes to "One page" and the system returns to presentation
of one page.
The presentation can be zoomed
in two steps with button "Zoom". Button "Reduce" downsizes
the presentation to the next size.
When the cursor is moved over
the page it turns into a magnifying glass. Two zoom steps are possible after
clicking on the left-hand mouse key. Move the magnifying glass over the keys
which are to be zoomed. The third mouse click returns the system to the
smallest presentation.
Click on button
"Close" to close the print preview and to return to the main window.
After clicking on button
"Print" the system exits the print preview and goes directly to the
print dialog window where print can be activated.
