Splitting a large File

During an online transfer of a large file, there are often connection break-downs. The connection must be re-established and the transfer process has to be started again, even if the major part of the file has already been transferred.

A: Windows - HJ-Split (Freeware for Windows)

By use of the application HJ-Split, a large file can be divided into several small parts, transferred and re-combined to a large file. In the following, you will find a short description of the individual program functions.

For spitting a file, use the following command:

The number 2 stands for the maximum part file size in MB. This value can be changed if required.

The generated split files are called xaa, xab ...

In order to join them again, use the command:
