ZAPZAP (Linux and Windows)
By
use of the program ZAPZAP, all movement data of your application are deleted.
In
the following, you will be informed about how to execute a ZAPZAP at both the
server and the client. The procedure will be described for both Linux and Windows.
Attention!
The
MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application has to be stopped system-wide during the ZAPZAP.
- Log on at the server as User oscar and stop the whole application.
- Log on at the client(s) as User oscar and stop the application.
- Enter the directory oscar.d {$ cd oscar.d}.
- On every client, the databases (work.n) have
to be deleted {$ rm
-rf work.n}. n
is the number of the process unit. Do NOT delete the server database
"work.srv".
- If there are also clients configured for the
server, their databases have to be deleted too {$ rm -rf work.n}. n is the number of the process unit.
- The actual carrying-out of the ZAPZAP
- Enter the directory fgl {$ cd fgl}.
- Execute the ZAPZAP {$ oscar zapzap.fgl}.
- Start the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application after the ZAPZAP
has been finished {$ oscar
start or $ oscar}.
- With the new start of the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application,
the databases will be restored automatically. It takes some time until the
menu dispatch is displayed.
- Note:
- With every ZAPZAP, a ZAPZAP counter will be
increased in the table "DbStatus".
- If the client notices that its ZAPZAP counter
differs from that of the server, it reports "Client needs
reload". Afterwards, the client database will be reloaded
automatically by the server. With the execution of zapzap.fgl, the ZAPZAP
counter of the server will be increased simultaneously. Please note that
execution zapzap.fgl is not allowed in the multi-user mode.
- Stop the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS aplication at the server by
use of the "Admin-Program" (Start
-> Programs -> MICROS Retail OSCAR POS Version - Admin -> oscar stop)
- Stop the application at the clients too (same
procedure as above).
- Enter the current "MICROS Retail OSCAR POS directory
". If you use the Explorer, use the mouse; if you work with the
prompt, use the command "cd usr\oscar\osc]Version]".
- Delete the directory/ directories
"work.n" on the client(s) by use of the command "rd work.n".
n is the number of the
process unit.
- If there are also clients configured for the
server, their databases have to be deleted too ("rd work.n").
- At the server, enter the directory "usr\oscar\osc(Version)\work" by
use of cd
usr\oscar\osc(Version)\work).
- Now execute the actual "ZAPZAP". Enter
the command "oscar
zapzap.fgl". Confirm.
- After the "ZAPZAP" has been finished,
start the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application as usual.
- Also at the clients, the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application
has to be started as usual. The databases will be restored automatically.
