Some clinical data is represented both by a text value and a code in the Reporting and Analysis database. The InForm application saves a unique, audited data record for the data (code) and a more readable display (text value) that can be adjusted if necessary. For example, a Yes answer to a question on a form is stored both as Yes and as 1 in the database.
Clinical report elements that appear in the InForm Ad Hoc Reporting tree allow you to include either (or both) the text answer to a question or the code values in your reports. Text values are more readable in a report and are therefore included in the Basic Data folder for easy access. By default, the labels for report elements that return code values begin with the prefix Code~ and appear in the Additional Data folder for any form in the InForm Ad Hoc Reporting tree.
