About custom groups

The Define Custom Groups selection in the Edit Data menu produces new report elements that contain groups of report values.

You can organize the data in a report using custom groups that create new report elements based on the values in a column. For example:

• Categorize a list of numeric results. For example, you can display the number of new, recent, and old queries.
• Divide the number of values into smaller sets. For example, you can organize a list of sites by region.
