About InForm Ad Hoc Reporting

The InForm Ad Hoc Reporting workspace provides the flexibility to quickly create different types of reports:

• List —Data details in columns and rows.
• Crosstab —Summary data in columns and rows.
• Chart —Summary data using graphical presentations, such as pie charts and bar charts.

You create ad hoc reports on both clinical and study management data using the InForm Ad Hoc Reporting workspace, which is powered by the Query Studio application. Ad hoc reports allow limited use of Cognos features such as data output styles, report layout and formatting, summarizations and aggregations, mathematical functions, and prompts.

Note: References to Query Studio and queries have been removed from the Reporting and Analysis user interface and documentation to avoid confusion by clinical users to whom the term query means a clinical discrepancy, not a database operation. For example, in the Cognos documentation, report topics are referred to as query subjects and report elements are referred to as query topics.
