Description

Insert Data

Add report elements to the report palette for inclusion in an ad hoc report.

Edit Data

Modify data on the report:

  • Apply filters.
  • Suppress data.
  • Sort and summarize columns.
  • Format data.
  • Add calculations.
  • Define custom groups.
  • Go to other reports.
  • Rename the column heading.
  • Cut, paste, and delete data.
  • Undo and redo changes.

Change Layout

Modify the presentation of a report:

  • Create charts.
  • Define conditional styles.
  • Change font and border styles.
  • Apply templates.
  • Edit the title area.
  • Set the web page size and page breaks.
  • Group, ungroup, and pivot columns.
  • Create sections in a report.
  • Swap rows and columns.
  • Collapse and expand groups.

Run Report

Specify options for running the report:

  • Run the report with all data.
  • Preview the report with limited or no data.
  • Specify an output format for your report.
  • Set advanced options.

Manage File

  • Create and save reports.
  • Access Report Studio, if you have purchased it and have sufficient rights to access it.
  • Create reporting definitions.
  • Set preferences.
