Edit Reason Code

Purpose: Use the Edit Reason Code window to review or change a reason code a store associate or manager uses in Store Connect to:

         reject a delivery or pickup order, or a line on a delivery or pickup order

         cancel a pickup or ship-to-store order, or a line on a pickup or ship-to-store order

         close a a ship-to-store order, or a line on a ship-to-store order if it was damaged in transit or missing

         automatically cancel unclaimed pickup or ship-for-pickup orders that are not picked up within a specified number of days; see Auto-Cancel Unclaimed Orders for background

How to display this window: Click the edit icon (edit_icon.png) at the Reason Codes screen.

Note:             Only users with Reason Codes authority can display this screen. See the Role Wizard for more information.

Updating a reason code 

Update any of the fields described below and click Save, or click Cancel to return to the Reason Codes screen without updating the reason code.

Field

Description

Organization

The organization where store associates or managers can use the reason code in Store Connect.Display-only.

Code

Purpose: The code identifying the reason to:

         reject a delivery or pickup order, or a line on a delivery or pickup order

         cancel a pickup or ship-to-store order, or a line on a pickup or ship-to-store order

         close a a ship-to-store order, or a line on a ship-to-store order if it was damaged in transit or missing

Your entry can be up to 30 positions.

Description

The description of the reason code. Can be up to 35 positions. Required.

Type

Indicates whether the reason code is used in Store Connect to Reject or Cancel delivery or pickup orders, or to Close lines on ship to store orders.

Note:  The window does not prevent you from changing the reason code type, even after an associate has used the code to reject or cancel a delivery or pickup order or close a line on a ship-to-store order.

Active

Indicates whether the reason code is currently available for selection by the store associate or manager when canceling, rejecting, or closing a line or order in Store Connect.

If this reason code is specified as the Auto Cancel Reason at the Preferences screen, it cannot be deactivated. Order Broker uses the Auto Cancel Reason when it automatically cancels unclaimed pickup or ship-for-pickup orders. See the Auto Cancel Reason for background.
