Customer Search Results Options

Purpose: You can perform the following actions on the Customer Search Results page.

         Select a Customer for Review

         Sort the Customer Search Results

         Filter the Customer Search Results

         Call the Customer’s Phone Number

         Email the Customer

         Refine your Search Criteria

         Perform a New Search

Select a Customer for Review

Select a Customer # (Customer Number) link in the Customer Search Results Table to advance to the Customer Order List page for the customer.

Sort the Customer Search Results

You can sort on any column in the Customer Search Results section of the page by clicking on the column name. An arrow pointing up displays next to the field when the values for the field display in ascending sequence; an arrow pointing down displays next to the field when the values for the field display in descending sequence.

Customer search results first display on this page in ascending company name, ascending customer last name sequence.

Filter the Customer Search Results

You can refine the customers that display in the Customer Search Results section of the page by entering information in one or more of the following fields. Note: The system performs the refinement only on the records that display on this page; the refinement is not performed against any additional records that may exist in the database.

         Customer # (Customer Number): Enter a full or partial customer number to display customers whose sold to customer number starts with your entry.

         Customer Name: Enter a full or partial name to display sold-to customers whose name or company name contains your entry.

         Customer Address: Enter a full or partial address to display sold-to customers whose address contains your entry.

         Phone (Phone Number): Enter a full or partial phone number to display customers whose day, evening, or mobile phone number contains your entry. Note: The Phone field displays in Contact Center only if it is selected for display in the Work with Contact Center (WWCC) menu option.

         Email Address: Enter a full or partial email address to find customers whose email address contains your entry.

         Last Order: Enter a full or partial order date to display customers whose last order date contains your entry.

Call the Customer’s Phone Number

Select a Phone Number link in the Customer Search Results Table to advance to the default application used to initiate phone calls. If a default application is not defined, a window displays where you can select the application to use to call the customer’s phone number.

Note:             This option is available only if hyperlink configuration is selected for the Phone field in the Work with Contact Center (WWCC) menu option. In addition, the Phone field displays in Contact Center only if it is selected for display in the Work with Contact Center (WWCC) menu option.

Email the Customer

Select an Email Address link in the Customer Search Results Table to advance to the default application used for email. If a default application is not defined, a window displays where you can select the application to use to email the customer.

Note:             This option is available only if hyperlink configuration is selected for the Email field in the Work with Contact Center (WWCC) menu option.

Refine your Search Criteria

Select the Edit Search option to return to the Search for Orders page. The system displays the search criteria that you entered for the last customer search so that you can modify your search criteria and rerun the customer search.

Perform a New Search

Select the New Search option to return to the Search for Orders page. The system clears all of the fields on this page so that you can enter new search criteria and perform a new search.
