Use Credit Card Tokenization (L18)

Purpose: Use this screen to define whether you replace the credit card number in the Order Management System database with a token number provided by an external system.

Yes/No field: Select this field to replace the credit card number in the Order Management System database with a token provided by an external system. In addition, the number will be encrypted if you have credit card encryption enabled.

To enable credit card tokenization for a service bureau in Defining Authorization Services (WASV), select the Request token field for the service bureau.

Unselect or leave this field blank to retain the credit card number in the Order Management System database; the number will be encrypted if you have credit card encryption enabled.

Credit card number scan screens: If the Use Credit Card Tokenization (L18) system control value is selected, you can scan on the last four digits of the credit card number at the following Order Management System screens:

Order Maintenance Selection Screen

Order Inquiry Scan Screen

Select Orders For Return Authorization Screen

The system scans on the last four digits of the credit card number that you enter in the Credit card number scan field. The system advances you to the Scan By CC Last 4 screen, where you can review orders that contain a credit card payment whose CC Last 4 field in the Order Payment Method table matches the last four digits of the credit card number that you entered in the scan field.

Note: In order to use the credit card scan field when the Use Credit Card Tokenization (L18) system control value is selected, you must enter only the last four digits of the card number; if you enter a full credit card number or more than four digits of the card number, the system will be unable to locate an order that matches your entry.

Credit card bin number: For data security, the system stores the bin number for a credit card number only if the credit card number has been replaced with a token.

• The system stores the bin number in the OPM Bin field in the Order Payment Method table only if the OPM Tokenized field for the Order Payment Method record is Y.

• The system stores the bin number in the CSM Bin field in the Customer Membership table only if the CSM Tokenized field for the Customer Membership record is Y.

Supported integrations: Credit card tokenization is available for the Cybersource integration with Order Management System. See Cybersource Point-to-Point Integration for processing details.

For more information: See the Data Security and Encryption Guide for an overview and processing details.
