FAQ - What is the difference between an On-The-Spot reservation and a New Reservation?
EZTask Checkout gives you the option of creating either an "On-The-Spot Reservation" or a "New Reservation." Both options create reservations, but the On-The-Spot reservation process assumes the person making the reservation is a guest and is present at the property. For this reason, it is designed with reduced functionality.
- On-The-Spot Reservation provides only the basic tools needed to search for the guest profile, check room availability, select room type and rate, and complete the reservation. If the On-The-Spot Reservation is for the current business date, the Reservation Check In Train opens.
- New Reservation presents the full Look To Book Sales Screen with comprehensive capabilities including Call Statistics, Availability Search, Trip Composer, Caller Information, Sell Messages, and the ability to create profiles, guest/travel agent/source information, the reservation, etc.
