FAQ - Why do I need file names when adding new Procedures or Reports?
Properties run End of Day Procedures and Reports to meet their business requirements. Mandatory Procedures and Reports run automatically; optional Procedures and Reports can be added to the End of Day routine as needed. Every Procedure and Report is identified by a unique Procedure Name or Report Name. The name is used for "calling" the Procedure or Report to run during End of Day.
Procedures Names
When adding new Procedures to the End of Day, you must complete the mandatory fields marked by a red asterisk.
The Procedure Name field must contain a valid (genuine) Procedure name. Failure to use a valid Procedure Name generates the following warning message:
Valid Procedure Names exist for Opera pre-configured Procedures.The Procedure Names Table provides a list of the Procedures. Additional property-specific Procedures require writing and configuring executable or batch files.
Report Names
When adding a new Report to the End of Day, a Report file name is required in the Report Name field (Report Names are accessible from the magnifier icon).
