FAQ - What notifications are likely to display while running the End of Day?

Certain business transactions and other activities must be completed in order to successfully run the End of Day. If these step are not taken before running the End of Day, the system provides pop-up notifications with links that allow you to manually close out the transactions or activities.

Errors also might occur during the End of Day. In these cases, an error message directs you to correct the errors before continuing. If an error message displays:

  1. Select Back to exit End of Day
  2. Correct the issue (as directed by the error message)
  3. Return to End of Day
  4. Select Continue on the error message

Common Notifications

Country-State Notification

 

Select Edit Profile to add Country or State codes to addresses; or select Continue to ignore the notification.

 

Arrivals not checked in warning

 

Select Reservation to check in or change arrival dates; or select Continue to ignore the notification.

 

Departures Not Checked Out Notification

 

Verifies that all guests with current departure dates have checked out. Select Departures to extend guest stays or check out guests.

 

Weather and Notes Notification

 

Select Add Notes to document weather or other conditions that may have impacted business on the business date; or select Continue to ignore the notification.

 

Roll Business Day Notification

 

Users must be logged out in order to complete the End of Day. The system automatically logs out users as one of the End of Day steps.

 

Run EOD Audit Results

 

The Audit balances each transaction code and verifies the sum of all transaction codes used throughout the business day.

 

Print Final Reports Notification

 

Generates the reports and prepares them for printing, emailing, or faxing.
