FAQ - Why do my opening balances show positive (+) or negative (-) amounts?
The Cashier Closure screen displays the amount of cash in your cash drawer at the start of the cashier's shift. The Opening Balance reflects any starting amount of cash provided to your cash drawer, plus or minus any "over or under" amounts of cash from the last time you closed your cashier.
