FAQ - What are offline settlements?
The Offline Settlements checkbox refers to credit card transactions that have temporary authorizations. Temporary authorizations are granted when communication issues prevent a connection with the credit card processing company. In these cases, temporary authorizations may be granted if the charge meets certain pre-authorized charge limits.
On the Credit Card Settlement Search screen, select the check box to display all of the credit card settlements that did not settle successfully when the credit card interface timed out (the transactions are stored for settlement later when the interface is running).
