FAQ - What is the Task Sheet Companion?

The Task Sheet Companion provides information and functionality designed to help attendants accomplish their daily tasks. It displays room numbers assigned to the attendant, any instructions for the day, and reservation information. It also provides a Start (time clock) function, Go to Next Room, Go On Break, and Need Assistance.

Open Task Sheet Companion

1. Select the Task Sheets jump on the Room Management Workspace.
2. Use Search to locate the day's Task Sheet. You can search for either Tasks or for Turndowns.
3. From your search results, select a Task Sheet.
4. From the Task Sheet Details screen, select Actions on a Task Sheet and choose Go To Task Sheet Companion.

Task Sheet Companion Functions

Start Function

The Start function is initiated for each room and displays a clock for timing the task.

After performing the room task, the attendant can perform the following:

1. Change the room status to Inspected, Clean, Dirty, Pickup, Vacant, or Occupied.
2. Select Finish to change the room status and exit.
3. Select Need Assistance to send messages either for an emergency situation (e.g., a water leak) or a general need (e.g., need help moving furniture).

Go to Next Room Function

The Go to Next Room function lets you select a room from the list of rooms displayed in the My Rooms section of the Task Companion. This allows the attendant to attend to rooms out of sequence if needed.

Go On Break Function

The "Go On Break" function provides a status indicator and reminder that the attendant is on break. After selecting "Go On Break," the function displays "Finish Break." Selecting "Finish Break" returns the display to "Go On Break."

Need Assistance Function

The Need Assistance function lets you send messages for room emergency purposes or general need. Recipients must be defined as users in the system.
