Setting Up Channel Sell Limits
Channel sell limits determine the number of rooms available for channels to sell. When the Channel Inventory parameter is On, select Channel Inventory on the Application menu to configure sell limits at the channel level or channel room type level for a specified date period or for specific days of the week.
Channel Inventory search displays the house inventory by property and date (you can select individual days of the week to hide from search results). If you include a channel name in your search criteria, search results also display the channels and channel room types associated with the property.

Create Channel Sell Limits
You can create channel sell limits on individual dates or over a span of time.
To create sell limits on individual dates:
- On the Channel Inventory screen, search for a channel.
- On any date, enter a number in the Sell Limit field.
To create sell limits over a span of time:
- On the Channel Inventory screen, search for a channel.
- Select Manage Sell Limits, then select New.
- Enter a Property, Channel, Start Date, and Number of Rooms.
- Enter a Channel Room Type and End Date, if desired.
- Select any day(s) of the week (Sunday through Saturday) to exempt from the sell limits.
Create New Channel Restrictions
The Manage Restrictions screen allows you to search for or create new channel inventory restrictions.
To create new restrictions:
- Select Channel Inventory and search for inventory by property and date.
- Select a linked restriction (shown either as text or an icon) on the Restrictions row of the Channel Inventory screen.
- After the Manage Restrictions screen opens, select New.
- Enter a restriction start / date, then select a restriction from the list of options.
- Check the check box to apply the restriction to the House or a Channel (by Room Class or Room Type).
View the Restrictions Changes Log
The Manage Restrictions screen provides a link to the Changes Log for viewing log entries by property and date. Search results provide start/end dates, a description of the action, the log creation date and time, the user, and action type.
To View the Changes Log for restrictions:
- Search the Channel Inventory screen for property inventory.
- From your search results, select the linked restriction (shown either as text or an icon) on the Restrictions row.
- When the Manage Restriction screen appears, select the Changes Log link.
- Search by Property and Date for log entries.
