A commission is a flat fee or a percentage paid to travel agents and other travel product sources for selling property bookings to customers. Use Commissions Management in Administration to configure commissions based on the following:

Travel Agent, Source profile, or Rate Code.
Flat rate per stay or per night or as a percentage of revenue on selected transactions (based on transaction codes).
Commission percentages or amounts configured for normal periods or specifically for weekend periods.
Net amount (taxes excluded) or gross amount (taxes included).

At times, a guest's stay may span multiple rates. If multiple rates with different commission codes are associated with the stay, the commission code attached to the first applicable rate code is used to determine the commission for the reservation.
