FAQ - What is a Commission Code?
Commission codes determine how commissions are calculated during commission processing (usually as a flat fee or a percentage of the reservation charges). They are included on the commission processing workspace screen.
Commission codes can specify the transaction codes on which a commission is due, the commission calculation method (flat rate, percentage, or a combination of the two), when the commission should be generated (once per night, once per stay, etc.), and the taxing method to be applied to the commission. Commission codes may be linked to rate codes, directly to agent and source profiles, or both.
