Preface

This guide explains how to administer Oracle Communications Convergence and its accompanying software components.

Audience

This document is intended for Convergence system administrators. This guide assumes that you have a working knowledge of the following concepts:

  • GlassFish Server administration or Oracle WebLogic Server administration

  • Directory server management

  • Structure and use of a lightweight directory access protocol (LDAP) directory

  • Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) for a secured communications

  • System administration and networking

  • General deployment architecture

Convention

The following convention is used throughout the document.

Convention Meaning
Oracle certified application server GlassFish Server and Oracle WebLogic Server are the certified application servers on which Convergence is supported. Oracle certified application server is used in this document to refer to either of the two application servers.

Note: Convergence is additionally supported on Oracle WebLogic Server from release 3.0.2.1.0 onwards.
