Release 18.2.1.4
May 2020
This document highlights the major changes for Release 18.2.1.4 of Oracle Retail Brand Compliance Management Cloud Service.
Oracle Retail Brand Compliance Management Cloud Service is an application designed to meet all aspects of sourcing, developing, and protecting retailer brands. The application provides solutions for product development, compliance, quality, and traceability. It is designed specifically for retail, food service, and manufacturing businesses to develop and protect their brands, manage their suppliers, and ensure full end-to-end product lifecycle management.
Oracle Retail Brand Compliance Management Cloud Service is composed of the following modules:
Library - enables the issue, receipt, and acceptance of policies, guidelines, and key working documents.
Product - supports the development of products and production specifications.
Project - supports the development of project briefs, plans, and workflow management.
Supplier - enables the identification, selection, and approval of suppliers.
Reports - reporting tool for reporting across the system, using standard templates and custom reports.
Oracle Retail Brand Compliance Management Cloud Service is hosted in the Oracle Retail Cloud with the security features inherent to Oracle technology and a robust data center classification, providing significant uptime. The Oracle Cloud team is responsible for installing, monitoring, patching, and upgrading retail software.
Included in the service is continuous technical support, access to software feature enhancements, hardware upgrades, and disaster recovery. The Cloud Service model helps to free customer IT resources from the need to perform these tasks, giving retailers greater business agility to respond to changing technologies and to perform more value-added tasks focused on business processes and innovation.
Oracle Retail Software Cloud Service is acquired exclusively through a subscription service (SaaS) model. This shifts funding from a capital investment in software to an operational expense. Subscription-based pricing for retail applications offers flexibility and cost effectiveness.
The following technology is supported:
The following web browsers are supported:

Note: Oracle Retail assumes that the retailer has ensured its Operating System has been patched with all applicable updates. |

Google Chrome (Desktop) 73+

Table 1 Product Fixed Issues
| Defect Number | Description |
|---|---|

29297132, 30019603, 30379636, 30537501, 30588885 |
Surveillance test report is not accepted when a supplier action is required This issue occurred due to there being no Product Technologist associated with the product record and, in the case of Produce product records, there was a missing link. When accepting a test report, which requires supplier action, a Product Technologist must be associated against the product record to allow for an email to be sent. A fix has been implemented and addresses the following:
|
|
30119032, 30456410, 31198854 |
Temporary specifications list view does not save site details The issue occurred where the site information was not saved when creating temporary specifications of type Processed/Manufactured. Null values were saved at the list view level such that when the data was downloaded, site information was not populated for the temporary specifications. A fix has been implemented to ensure the site information is populated for newly created temporary specifications of type Processed/Manufacture. |
|
30604281 |
When retailer updates the Produce Product Surveillance Tests to Awaiting Supplier Action, the email to the supplier fails The issue occurred due to the Product Technologist being against the produce specification record rather than the produce product record. The process for generating the email now takes the Product Technologist information from the produce specification for produce product records. |
|
31190597 |
Missing values in a combined specification's Recipe section A fix has been made to rectify an issue with compound ingredients having values missing from the Recipe section when two product specifications had been combined. The issue occurred where the recipe was nested to two levels or more. |
|
31304200 |
Unable to edit combined specification's Nutrition section A fix has been made to rectify an issue with it not being possible to edit the Nutrition section of a combined specification after unlocking the section. |

Reports data warehouse build failure A fix has been made to rectify an issue with the build of the Reports data warehouse during start-up of the application. |

30561894, 30883695, 31198595 |
Product Specifications synchronization timeout A fix has been made to rectify a timeout issue when synchronizing Product Specification data between portals. The issue occurred where specifications containing a large amount of data took longer to process than the default one minute timeout limit. The fix introduces two new system properties, to allow the receive and connect timeout limits to be overridden. A future enhancement may expose these as system parameters, allowing the system administrator to configure the values. This issue only relates to portals that operate as a Global Network Bus (GNB) application. |
There are no specific post release tasks that need to be done as part of this release.
