Conditional formatting allows you to format controls (text fields, images, sections, and so on) in your reports depending on attribute or metric qualifications. This provides the flexibility to personalize your reports based on the returned data.
The Advanced Threshold Editor has the following features:
Toolbar
The toolbar at the top contains:
Note: All control types except Grid/Graph can use conditional formatting.
New: Adds a new conditional format to the selected object. The new conditional format, titled New Threshold, is added to the list below the toolbar.
Copy: Copies the selected conditional format (the qualifications and the format).
Paste: Adds the copied conditional format to the bottom. You can then rename and edit it to suit your needs.
Delete: Deletes the selected conditional format.
Delete All: Deletes all the conditional formats.
Move up and Move down: Re-orders the conditional formats.
Add condition: Adds another qualification to the selected conditional format.
Clear conditions: Removes all qualifications from the selected conditional format.
Cell formatting: Change the formatting that is applied when the threshold is met. The Format Threshold dialog box opens.
Enable thresholds on graph: This option is not available for objects in documents.
Choose one of the following to determine how the conditional format is applied:
Apply the threshold on metric conditions only (Default): Apply the selected conditional format to metric values but not subtotal values.
Apply the threshold on subtotal values only: Apply the selected conditional format to subtotal values but not metric values.
Apply the threshold to metric and subtotal values: Apply the selected conditional format to metric and subtotal values.
