Saving a Prompt

Created prompts can be saved for use on future reports or documents. Only users logged in as Administrators or Managers can create prompts.

To save a prompt:  

  1. After creating the prompt, click Save As. The Save As dialog box opens.

  2. Browse to the folder to save the prompt. To save the prompt in a new folder, click the Create new folder icon. The Create Folder dialog box opens. Create a new folder as described in Creating a folder.

  3. In the Name text box, type the name of the prompt.

  4. In the Description text box, type a short description for the prompt.

  5. Click OK to save the prompt.

Note: Attempting to save a prompt with the same name and location as an existing prompt will overwrite the existing prompt with the new. Alternately, create a new name or save the prompt to a new location.
