Viewing Documents in Interactive Mode

Interactive Mode is a display mode for documents and dashboards. It allows a document analyst to view report results within the document, format the look and feel of grid reports within the document, and manipulate the data in the reports in several ways.

Document Designers can format all objects within the Grid/Graph, format colors, series, and other objects on a graph report.

For example, analysts can use selectors to flip through the panels in a panel stack or display different attribute elements or metrics in a Grid/Graph.

Use the Interactive Mode to accomplish the following:

Manipulate Grid/Graphs by pivoting, sorting, adding totals, re-sizing rows and columns, and creating metrics based on report objects already on the grid report
Apply a view filter to a report's results
Change the view in which a report is displayed, for example switching a report from Grid view to Grid and Graph view
Rename objects on a report
Format the metric values on a grid report
Format the legend and data labels on a Grid/Graph
Use selectors such as radio buttons and drop-down lists to change the data that appears in a Grid/Graph or the panel that is displayed
View the document in Full Screen Mode if Interactive Mode is enabled in the document

If Interactive Mode is not displayed in the Home menu, contact your administrator or document designer.

To view a document or dashboard in Interactive Mode:

Click the name of a document to execute it.
From the Home menu, select Interactive Mode.
