Subject transfers and automatic workflow updates

All workflow rules and global conditions are run at the end of the subject transfer process. If any of the rules fail, the subject transfer process stops, and all changes are rolled back.

During the transfer process, the subject is locked and you cannot enter any data for the subject. Data entered for the subject is not changed by the subject transfer process, but the workflow state might change because:

Sites have different study versions.
Workflow rules or global conditions may use site attributes in the calculations.
