Adding Users to a WebLogic Security Realm

To add a user to a WebLogic Security Realm:

  1. Log in to the WebLogic Server Administration Console using the following URL:

    http://<Server>:<Port_Number>/console

    Where:

    • <Server> is the server name or IP address of the machine on which the application is deployed.
    • <Port_Number> is the port number for the server.
  2. In the Change Center pane, click Lock & Edit.
  3. In the Domain Structure pane, click Security Realms.
  4. In the Realms table on Summary of Security Realms window, click myrealm.
  5. Navigate to the Users and Groups tab and, in the Users table, click New.
  6. In the Create a New User window, complete the following:
    1. In the Name field, enter the name of the user.
    2. In the Description field, enter a description for the user.
    3. In the Provider list, select a provider.
    4. In the Password and Confirm Password fields, enter a password for the user.
    5. Click OK.
  7. In the Change Center pane, click Release Configuration.
