Creating a Role to Access the Reports Folder

You can assign an existing role to users, but you need to assign the JDBC data source to the roles.

To create a role to access the reports folder:

1. Click Administration.
2. Under Security Center, click Roles and Permissions.
3. Create a role by completing the following:
   1. Click Create Role.
   2. In the Name field, enter a name for the role.
   3. Click Apply.
4. Assign the data sources that the role is authorized to use by completing the following:
   1. Click Add Data Source.
   2. Move the data sources that are associated with the role from Available Data Sources list to the Allowed Data Sources list.
   3. Click Apply.
